They are concerned with ending the complaints of the community. The police department cannot afford to deal with the prostitution case as it takes too much of the departments resources that other crimes float by. Especially when the courts do not properly deal with the prostitute enough to stop their prostitution.
2. How concerned is the community?
Not necessarily concerned about the sex work, rather they are concerned with the homicides and sexual assault that comes along with prostitution.
3. What groups are particularly concerned and why? What specific concerns are expressed?
The major groups concerned is the community surrounding it. They worry prostitution will grow to continue to harm women and eventually them. Police are not entirely concerned, and the courts are not either.
4. How organized and active are community members who oppose street prostitution?
Quite organized, with groups that deter prostitution by exposing the clientele of prostitutes to the general public. Other organizations rehabilitate prostitutes, attempting to change the ways of the individual before they are convicted.
5. What level of street prostitution are they willing to tolerate?
They are willing to tolerate prostitution as long as the community is not harmed by it. The strain on the police department the prostitution case deters the police from acting upon it fully, only enough to stop the prostitute in a certain area.
