Nancy is an independent consultant/contractor based in Concord, NC. In addition to serving as the event coordinator for the annual Problem-Oriented Policing Conference she assists the POP Center with the publication process for the Problem-Oriented Guides for Police series and handles the Center’s marketing. Prior to her move to North Carolina, Nancy was employed by the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) for seven years where she served in several positions. Nancy spent over three years in the Program Policy Support and Evaluation (PPSE) Division as a Senior Social Science Analyst and later served as the Supervisor and Acting Assistant Director. During her time in PPSE, Nancy served as the project manager for numerous research projects and conferences including the Problem-Oriented Guides for Police and a series of technical assistance conferences for COPS MORE grantees. Prior to joining the PPSE Division, Nancy spent several years in the Grants Administration Division where she served as the Team Leader for the Making Officer Redeployment Effective (MORE) program. She holds a master’s degree in Justice, Law and Society from The American University and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Susquehanna University.
